I have been coming to The Packe Arms for years.  The service, food and atmosphere is always top notch.  This time I had Beetroot Arancini on a bed of rainbow cousous, classic fish and chips (super fresh, chunky fish and crispy batter) and the mini pud and hot drink combo which is a great idea if you haven&#39;t got room for a full sized pudding.  The new range of alcohol free drinks are also great.  I had elderflower and mint.

It wasn&rsquo;t my first experience here and I&rsquo;d say I had better memories. Yesterday it wasn&rsquo;t the greatest Sunday roast ever, relatively small portions but still a bit pricey. Pudding wasn&rsquo;t great either, the crumble pie was almost completely missing the crumble .

It&rsquo;s the second time we&rsquo;ve been to the Packe arms and both times have been very satisfied with the good and the service. It definitely is becoming a sunday fave!

We had a night out for our wedding anniversary and the setting, food and service were spot on. Good choice of dishes on the menu, all well presented.

Good food, service was a little slow but still a lovely place to go. The open fire was a nice touch too. Staff are friendly and helpful, would recommend for families too.

Being a birthday celebration lunch for my elder daughter, I wanted it to be a special occasion. In fact this turned out to be one of the most enjoyable lunches I&#39;ve recently experianced. First the staff on duty made us very welcome, and the service throughout was faultless. Both my daughter and myself chose from the daily lunch menu, and our choices for the main and dessert were excellent, and what a welcome change to have a real flavoursome main course.. Would definitely return.

Excellent choice of side dishes available and I thought I&#39;d never finish my plateful, but I did because it was all really delicious. I especially like the macaroni cheese. Our waitress was above and beyond efficient and is at a standard to be strived for. I wonder if they&#39;re all like her in Runcorn!

Really enjoyed our visit.  We were greeted well and table request adhered to which was great as visiting with very elderly guests. Everyone enjoyed their meals which were beautifully presented and good food.  Lovely spacious interior.  Very busy for a Friday evening and all staff worked hard as a team - well done
